Well everyone it looks like we made it yet another year. Specifically, the year before the apocalypse, and you best stock up on all that canned food, water, zombie shotgun shells, and all other types of shenanigans. GLSL shaders for Minecraft 1.0.0 have been released. These enable advanced lighting effects, depth of field, and bump mapping in custom texture packs.


To install them visit the Shaders 2.0 wiki and follow the directions there. To use bump mapping, install a texture pack that supports it and follow the directions posted here. (make sure to do these steps in order or you may end up using the wrong gbuffers_terrain.fsh)
